QUALITY CONTROL

Our certification to the ISO 9001:2008 Quality Standard reflects our commitment to quality. We abide by strict quality processes, and we maintain documentation to ensure these processes are followed.

Employees at E.G. Gasket are held responsible for the products that they produce.  Parts are inspected “in-process” to a formulated schedule that is designed to catch variations in processing.  The results of their inspections are recorded and archived for review.  These reports can be supplied to the customer when requested.

To accommodate the inspection requirements, we maintain a wide variety of inspection instruments.  These instruments are calibrated and certified on a regular basis by a recognized metrology lab.

In addition to the well recognized inspection instruments that most fabricators use (coordinate measuring machine, calipers, micrometers, pin gauges) we employ a Virtek LQC Scanner. The Laser scanner will trace the actual part and compare the part to an inspection file generated from the .dxf file of that part.  It provides a very accurate quick check of the part so that the operator can continue their production run.  In seconds the scanned part can be automatically compared to the corresponding .dxf file with any variances outside pre-set tolerances highlighted in color.  We can automatically create detailed SPC inspection documents for our customers or our own internal quality process.
